80s child star Corey Feldman was the latest celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing On Ice this weekend, and he has revealed on ITV1's This Morning that he would not have joined the skating show if he had known how challenging the routines it would be.
Speaking to presenters Eamonn Holmes and Holly Willoughby, the American star said: "I had really no idea what I was getting myself into, and quite surprisingly it was very, very difficult. It's a lot of work, it's a lot of hours that you have to put in to it. You're supposed to have 30 hours of training on your own before you meet your partner, and I actually only had eight."
He added: "I don't know if I would do it again – if I would put myself through that again – but honestly if I could go back to zero and start fresh, I probably wouldn't have taken the commitment with knowing that I had other things in my schedule. I mean the fact that Jorgie is pulling off what she's pulling off – well it's amazing, she's literally running on fumes."
Corey's problems with professional skating partner Brooke Castile are no secret, and the two have publicly had a very troublesome time on the show. Corey explained that part of the reason he was voted off is due to their tense working relationship:
"It definitely worked against us, there's no question about that. But at the same time you are only seeing a little sliver of time of the hours and hours that we spend together during the week. The bottom line is she is an incredible skater, she's amazing and I'm graced in her presence to be honest. And I never even dreamed that I would make it this far."
Despite being voted off the show, the Stand By Me star said that he plans to keep up his new-found ice-skating skills. He said "Now I can teach my child, which is pretty cool. And you never know – maybe there will be an ice movie that I do, or a routine on ice – you never know."
