We all assumed that Demi Moore's recent life trauma was all due to her break-up with Ashton Kutcher. But her fierce friend is determined to put this rumour to bed...
Ashton Kutcher may have been feeling guilty about his ex-wife's recent battle with substance abuse and her supposed anorexia (after all, he did cheat on her and destroy their six year marriage) but Demi's BFF is insistent that the situation has nothing to do with him.
As this close source told E! Online, Ashton may life to think he's the cause, but he doesn't have THAT much influence:
"This is not just about Ashton. I'm sure Ashton would like to think it's all about him. What [Demi's] going through now is not just things not working out with Ashton... Demi's had a fight in her for many years, before Ashton ever came along."
Oh miaow!
So are we saying that Ashton's love of hot-tubs and busty blondes who AREN"T his wife had absolutely nothing to do with this event? Apparently so. In fact, Demi's friend is adamant that her toyboy lover actually helped her over the years:
"She loved him, and he her! Don't forget that. But this was before…trouble began."
Hmm, we're still not convinced. We've quite enjoyed pointing our finger at love rat Ashton over the past week...
