Denise Welch may have caused a lot of controversy in the Big Brother house, but her family never had any doubts about her walking away as the winner...
In fact, the TV star's family have made £200 after having a little flutter on the fact that their Denise would win 'Celebrity Big Brother'. Good work!
Despite the dreaded pants-down controversy, not to mention the Playboy twins' threat of a lawsuit, Denise Welch stormed to victory on Friday night. But it was a double celebration, as her father and husband won a neat stack of notes after their bet on Den paid off.
Her dad has said he never had any doubts about her walking away from the experience as a success:
“I know she would win and I’ve got a few hundred pounds out of it, I had a nice little flutter... I put a bet on quite soon after she went in – I only had £40 on me at the time, but I got odds of 5/1 so made £200. And Tim won even more. He put on a few hundred pound so has £1,500 to collect.”
Denise was met by her father as she exited the house, who immediately enveloped her a huge hug. Tim, her loyal hubby, was forced to watch his wife win the show from home, as he was looking after their son Louis. We bet he's had to cover his eyes a few times during this year's CBB, as Welch has done everything from get rip-roaring drunk to baring all in the hot tub.
Denise Welch beat the bookies’ favourite Frankie Cocozza. We guess that must be down to her lucky genes!
