Jessie Wallace has been given three months' leave from EastEnders as she picks up the pieces from her summer break-up.
She split from fiance Vincent Morse last year in a feud that was played out all over the British tabloids, and with a hectic work schedule of tough storylines, producers have reportedly made emergency script changes to allow her some time off.
A source told The Sun: "Jessie's worked solidly since her wedding nightmare and had already come back early from what would have been her honeymoon."
The break-up from Morse came after he was caught sending explicit messages to another woman. He had said: ''I made a mistake and I'm mortified.
"I'd never do it again, I'm sorry and didn't feel great and from that moment on it made me love her more."
The actress, who plays Kat Moon in the BBC soap, was spotted out and about having a good time with an unknown male companion yesterday. Could a new romance be on the cards?
