Demi Moore has become the latest celebrity to fall victim to a malicious death hoax on Twitter.

The actress, who was hospitalised earlier this week for "exhaustion" and checked in to a treatment centre, has already had a tough week of it - but yesterday became 'killed off' by false rumours on the social networking site.

Gossip Cop confirms that the speculation caused by the 'RIP Demi Moore' trend is 100% false.

News of Demi's hospitalisation spread when TMZ reported substance abuse as the reason for her medical scare.

It has since been reported that she is being treated for anorexia, and that friends made the 911 call when they found she wasn't breathing.

She split from husband Ashton Kutcher in late 2011 after months of speculation about his fidelity.
