The shocking 911 call made when Demi Moore collapsed on Monday night has been released, with concerned friends of the actress telling the operator: “Send an ambulance right now. This is an emergency."
The drama unfolded as a friend desperately pleaded for an ambulance to be sent to the actresses’ Beverly Hills home and described the 49 year-old’s deteriorating condition.
The five minute recording was released this morning by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
According to E! Online the friend said: “She's semi-conscious...barely. She's convulsing." “She's not breathing normally...she's burning up.”The friend added.
It has been reported that the ‘Margin Call’ actress has been battling an addiction to the prescription drug, Adderall and anorexia. Those close to the star are said to be worried that she is her life is spiralling out of control.
The friend confirmed that the actress had taken something but told the operator that she did not know what it was, she said: “She smoked something. It's not marijuana but it's similar to incense. She seems to be having convulsions of some sort.”
The friend who made the call admitted to the operator that the actress had taken something to help her through her current problems, she said: "She's been having some issues with some other stuff lately. I don't know what she's been taking or not."
Demi has appeared startlingly thin since her marriage breakdown last November. She parted from husband of six years Ashton Kutcher following allegations that he had cheated on her with a 22 year-old.
