Shocking claims by friends of Demi Moore have alleged that the star's life is out of control and that she is addicted to the prescription drug Adderall and is suffering from anorexia.
The actress is said to be having a complete life crisis and is struggling to cope.
A source told Radar Online: "The pills and starvation destroyed Demi and this has been a problem for about a year."
“She’s constantly jacked up on Adderall and combining that with not eating accounts for her loopy behaviour and anorexic body frame. She literally refuses to eat any food.” the added.
Her collapse on Monday came as no shock to friends who have been terrified for the ‘Charlie’s Angel’ star. The actress has been partying hard around Hollywood to try and forget her troubles and has been looking increasingly increasingly frail since her marriage to Ashton Kutcher ended in November.
A source told US Weekly: "Her life is completely in crisis.” She is turning 50 and has no idea who she is or what her focus should be.”
The 49 year-old was rushed to hospital on Monday night following a seizure at her home caused by the inhalation of nitrous oxide, known more commonly as ‘whip-its’ US Weekly reported.
A spokesperson for the star told The Daily Mail: “Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health.”
Her distraught daughter Rummer Willis has been seen visiting her mother at hospital and has even reached out to ex-husband Ashton Kutcher for help, though he is reportedly yet to respond.
