Amy Child’s may be regretting leaving The Only Way Is Essex so soon as the 20 year-old’s attempt at a solo reality TV show has been cancelled after only one series.

All About Amy was axed by Channel 5 as it failed to bring in viewers falling to a dismal 300,000 by the eighth show.

The red head, who last night attended the National Television Awards in London took the knock back in her stride. She seemed unfazed that the program was coming to an end as she took to twitter to confirm it was the last ever episode: “My last show tonight #itsallaboutamy, had so much fun filming it, lots more tv work coming up soon ;) xxxx”

It seems Amy was not such a hit away from the glamorous world of TOWIE with it’s drunken arguments, controversies and hilarious catchphrases.

According to The Mirror a source revealed: “The fly-on-the-wall format didn’t really work because there wasn’t a lot going on.”

TOWIE at least has a few different cast members, but watching Amy drive to TV studios and train her dogs was just tedious.”They added.

Amy was the first TOWIE star to jump ship but many have made the move now with original cast members Mark Wright, Kirk Norcross and Harry Derbridge leaving Essex behind for new projects.

Mark Wright recently admitted that he was looking forward to watching the show as a fan now that he has left.
