It turns out that Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler were as (if not more) surprised by their pregnancy as we were!
'The Hills' star and her NFL boyfriend are famed for their tempestuous relationship; they had only just announced that their engagement was BACK ON before the baby news hit the fan.
Kristin and Jay told People: "We are thrilled to announce we are expecting our first child together."
Sure, they're thrilled, but that doesn't mean the new addition wasn't unexpected. Sources close to the couple have revealed that the pair were shocked when Kristin discovered she was preggers.
They'd discussed the possibility of children, but had not intended to start a family for a good while, TMZ.com has reported.
Despite all of this, the surprise baby has only brought the couple closer together. They've renewed their commitment, got the engagement back on track and seem (dare we say it?) happier than ever.
Thank goodness for life's little unexpected mysteries, eh?
