Leonardo DiCaprio and Michael Fassbender failed to make the final list for the Academy Award nominations this year.
The two actors, who put in stellar performances for the films 'J. Edgar' and 'Shame', were not acknowledged in the nominations and were snubbed in favour of stars including Demian Bichir, Jean Dujardin, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and British actor Gary Oldman.
Leo and Michael were both nominated at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards - which are usually good indications of the Oscar nods.
