Whitney Houston made a horrific comeback with a UK tour a few years ago and hasn't been heard of since, but now the diva is back and she will be returning to the big screen in a remake of 'Sparkle' alongside Jordin Sparks. But what's given her the nudge?
Apparently it's because she's spent all of her $100 million fortune and is "flat broke", a claim that her representative firmly denies.
Whitney, who has battled with a crack cocaine addiction, is allegedly being supported by her record label Arista - who have reportedly paid out an advance on her next album.
"Whitney's fortune is gone. Music industry heavy hitters are supporting her and her label is fronting her cash against her next album, but no one knows when that will be released," a source told Radaronline.com.
The insider continued: "She might be homeless if not for people saving her. She is broke as a joke."
A spokesperson for Whitney has since told Gossip Cop that the story was "not true".
