Britain's Got Talent To Get Back 20 Million Viewers Promises Simon Cowell

Not one to be short of confidence, Simon Cowell has promised that the new series of Britain's Got Talent will get 20 million viewers.

Speaking at the launch of the new series on Friday, Simon, who has welcomed former Strictly Come Dancing judge Alesha Dixon and comedian David Walliams onto the panel this year, told Digital Spy:

"You know what, I think if you get great contestants everyone comes back," before adding:

"I think it's all about talent. I mean that great year we had with Susan Boyle and Diversity, I think if you had that same lineup, you'd get that 20 million back in a heartbeat."

The media mogul, who has returned to Britain's Got Talent after quitting the panel last year, admitted in a recent interview that he was too "cocky" when he estimated that the X Factor USA would get 20 million viewers.
