Keira Knightley might be an accomplished actress, but even the best need a bit of Dutch courage to get through sex scenes.
The 'Pirates Of The Caribbean' actress has confessed that she knocked back vodka and champagne ahead of her scenes for her new film 'A Dangerous Method' in which she plays a sex-starved psychiatric patient, who loves a bit of masochism.
"We had one or two shots maximum. It was a vodka shot to calm our nerves and away you go really," the 26-year-old told Culture magazine.
"Then we had champagne. We drank quite a lot of champagne, actually. The vodka and the champagne was a good combination."
Keira can be seen getting spanked with a leather belt in the flick directed by David Cronenburg, in the story which tells the story of the relationship between the infamous psychoanalysts Sigmund Freud and Carl Jung.
A few shots!? We'd need a few bottles!
