The Duchess of Cornwall has reached out to Kate Middleton and assured her that she will not be alone while Prince William completes his over-seas posting in February.

Camilla is said to be worried about the young bride and how she will cope when her husband of under a year leaves her for a six weeks tour to the Falklands in his role as a search-and-rescue pilot.

A source told the Daily Mail: “Camilla sees Kate as another daughter.”

“She knows Kate is concerned about William being away and has told her she is welcome at Clarence House whenever she wants.”The source added.

Kate, who is said to be dreading the separation, flew to the exclusive island of Mustique earlier this week for a family holiday with her parents and siblings. Prince William is expected to join her this weekend for some quality time before he leaves for the Falklands.

The Duchess of Cambridge is expected to leave Anglesey while the Prince is away and will split her time between London and her parent’s home in Berkshire, taking the time to concentrate on her charity work.
