David Furnish has clearly not calmed down following his four-letter rant at the weekend over Madonna’s Golden Globe win and is now alleging that the result was fixed.
The producer was livid when the ‘Material Girl’ won for Best Original Song ahead of his husband Elton John and posted on his Facebook page: “Madonna. Best song???? F**k off!!!"
Elton was nominated for his track from 'Gnomeo And Juliet' 'Hello, Hello'.
David later told The New York Post why he thought the singer won the award: “I think it was a fluke... When this happens you have to question the integrity of the awards. Did Madonna get the Golden Globe because she attended the awards and agreed be a presenter?”
He went on to attack the track ‘Masterpiece’ taken from Madonna’s film ‘W.E’and urged the singer to leave movies to the experts.
The 49-year-old said: “Can you sing Madonna's song? Can you hum it? It's a song nobody has heard, from a film few have seen. The award should have gone to (nominee) Mary J. Blige or Elton.
"I like Madonna's music, but not her movies. She should stick to what she is good at."
Even before the winner was announced Elton had taken a swipe at his fellow nominee. He told E! News: “Madonna doesn’t have a f****** chance."
Madonna seemed to take the attack with good humour and had the last laugh of the night by picking up the award, leaving a stony faced Elton fuming.
