New Mark Wahlberg thriller 'Contraband' has out-performed a 3D re-release of Disney's 'Beauty And The Beast' at the US Box Office.
The victorious movie took $24.1 million over the weekend, topping the $18.4m earned by the animated classic.
Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton's new musical comedy 'Joyful Noise' could only muster $11.3m to poll fourth, just $200,000 behind 'Mission:Impossible - Ghost Protocol' in third.
Meryl Streep's Golden Globe-winning performance in 'The Iron Lady' helped the movie rocket 16 places to No. 10 over the weekend, taking $5.3m from 897 screenings. 'Contraband' had over 2,800.
Last week's frontrunner, low-budget horror 'The Devil Inside', fell to sixth place, suffering a 77% drop in week-on-week takings.
Paul Dergarabedian, box office analyst for Hollywood.com, said: "It doesn't matter because 'Devil Inside' is a profit-making machine. If your budget is low enough, who cares if it drops big and you're making money?"
Wahlberg was seen last summer getting married to Mila Kunis for their new movie 'Ted In Boston'.
