Footballer Wayne Bridge footed the bill for popstar girlfriend Frankie Sandford's 23rd birthday bash - setting him back a quarter of a million pounds.
The Daily Star reports that the Manchester City defender, 31, threw the Saturdays favourite a lavish party at his mansion in Surrey on Saturday night.
The paper quotes an attendee as saying: "The whole thing was organised by Frankie’s sister Victoria and Wayne happily footed the whole bill. The pair of them really went to town.
"All of us guests were led into a giant marquee. It was decorated beautifully in maroon and white and was split into two. One half was a cool nightclub with a DJ booth and the other was more of a chatting area."
The source continued: "Frankie looked stunning in a black Hervé Léger dress and he actually gasped when he saw her.
"Midway through the night he presented her with a cake and a specially-made balloon in the shape of her puppy dog Oscar. Frankie loved it. She was nearly crying, she was so happy."
Reportedly he also bought the star a black Aston Martin Vantage with her name embroidered on the custom-made leather.
Frankie's bandmate Vanessa White was the centre of speculation last week, after missing a concert in London on Thursday night. Fans feared she was on the verge of quitting when she was seen fleeing the venue in floods of tears, but a representative blamed illness.
