Blockbusters, the hit TV quiz show from the 1980s is set to make a big comeback after a 40 episode series has been commissioned by digital channel Challenge TV.
Aiming to attract an adult audience rather than the original series geared more towards a teenage market, production company TalkbackThames has already begun advertising for contestants over the age of 18.
The advertisement states that it is looking for "outgoing people with good general knowledge and bags of enthusiasm".
The return to our screens of the much loved quiz comes weeks after original presenter Bob Holness died in his sleep at the age of 83.
During Bob’s time as host, the teatime quiz became a massive hit, and even now repeats of archive editions of the 1980s show are being shown.
In Blockbusters contestants choose an initial letter from the yellow illuminated board and are challenged by the questionmaster to come up with the correct word.
As of yet no presenter has been announced for the new series, but both Sky and Talkback Thames are excited to reinvigorate the series, after a failed attempt to recreate the format with Liza Tarbuck on Sky1 and also with Michael Aspel on the BBC.
