A studio executive has reportedly admitted that he hopes the Twilight Saga can continue beyond the 'Breaking Dawn' finale.
The second instalment of the franchise's two-part closing chapter is due in cinemas later this year, but Lionsgate chief Jon Feltheimer is quoted as saying it has "ongoing value".
According to Los Angeles Times, he said: "I’m anticipating 'Breaking Dawn – Part 2' being $700 million-plus in worldwide box office.
"It’s hard for me to imagine a movie that does $700 million-plus doesn’t have ongoing value. It’s an amazing franchise that they have done a great job of maintaining with absolutely no deterioration."
When asked if the series could carry on, he said "Boy, I hope so."
'Breaking Dawn: Part 1' was named last month as one of Entertainmentwise's worst films of 2011.
Do you think the series can continue?
Ah, Twilight...
