Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has revealed that being called the "ugly one" in the band, drove her to alcohol.
Following band mate Sarah Harding's decision to open up about her problems for depression and alcohol addiction, Nicola has now revealed that she had to seek therapy to help her get over the bullying.
Talking to the Daily Star, the singer admitted: "I would beg my driver to buy me vodka when I was still underage. Being singled out as 'The Ugly One' led to depression. It's funny I was too young for so many things but you thought I'd cope with being told I'm ugly over and over."
However, despite seeking therapy, Nicola revealed that it did nothing for her.
She added: "Therapy didn’t make me stronger as it’s too expensive. I’d rather sit there thinking until I couldn’t think any more, then reward myself with a pair of Louboutins."
The star recently revealed in an interview that she was the counsellor of the band which includes Cheryl Cole, Kimberly Walsh and Sarah Harding.
