When news that Courteney Cox and David Arquette had split up broke, we were all left shocked and he seemed desperate to win her back as he battled with his drinking problems but now it looks as thought its the actress who holds a torch for her former flame.
The couple, who have a daughter Coco together, have remained close since their split in October 2010 after 11 years of marriage and now he's got a new lady in his life, but Courteney insists that David remains her "favourite person in the world".
The Cougar Town actress told People magazine: "He's my favourite person in the world. He's my best friend. No matter what happens in our future, he's my very best friend."
Arquette has recently celebrated his one year of sobriety after he checked himself into rehab in January 2011.
"[We went out to celebrate] David's one year of sobriety," Cox said. "He's great. Good for him."
Arquette is currently dating reporter Christina McLarty and he admitted that he cried when he told Courteney that he'd found love again.
