Snoop Dogg has reportedly been arrested in Texas for marijuana possession, and could face up to 180 days in jail.
The rapper was caught by a drug-sniffing dog in the strict US state at the weekend when his tour bus was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, according to TMZ.
Marijuana is said to have been found in a red prescription bottle, containing less than half an ounce of the drug.
Snoop, who was nominated at last year's MTV Europe Music Awards, has a prescription for cannabis in California, but the site notes that Texas has much stricter, zero-tolerance laws.
He was allegedly issued a citation for misdemeanor drug possession, and released.
Singer Willie Nelson was arrested in the same place for a similar crime in 2010.
