Christina Aguilera’s body may have yo-yoed in weight over the last few years but the 31-year-old couldn’t care less and has admitted that she loves the way she looks.
The star, who was once criticised for her slim figure has fought with her fluctuating weight following the birth of her son, four-year-old Max and divorce from first husband Jordan Bratman. The singer has been dating Matt Rutler since 2010 and now seems to be happy with her figure.
According to the Daily Mail the ‘Genie In a Bottle’ singer said: “I have a boyfriend that loves my body. I love my body, my son is healthy and happy and that is all that matters.”
Christina was constantly compared to her fellow Disney star Britney Spears during her first years of fame and reveals how much harder it is for women in music because of the focus on looks.
The 'Candyman' singer said: “You have got to be a strong, powerful, very confident woman.”
She added: “Women, we are definitely under a microscope and under massive scrutiny. As long as I am happy in my own skin, that is all that is all the confirmation I need.”
Christina is currently working on the US talent show The Voice and has found it a liberating experience to coach other young women to the top: “Being in a position to coach these young women, I am happy to be able to share that with them and share my highs and lows. Being on the show, it's a very good outlet for me.” She told fans.
The 'Dirrrty' star is rumoured to be working with Pink and Britney Spear's producer in an effort to get her music career back on track.
