When Mariah Carey tweeted a picture of Nick Cannon in intensive care and receiving treatment for kidney failure earlier this week, we were all shocked, but no more than his buddy DJ Irie.
The America's Got Talent host was struck down with the illness while on holiday with his wife Mariah, and their twins Morrocan and Monroe.
Talking to People magazine, DJ Irie said: "I was beyond shocked when I learned Nick had a kidney issue."
"Of all the people, he is healthy beyond belief," he continued. "He does not drink, he eats healthy, and he works out regularly. Nick practices all of these healthy habits every day of his life. But he is rational and smart and taking care of it by being in the hospital where he belongs now."
Cannon, who has now been moved to a hospital in Los Angeles for treatment, has tweeted his fans to let him know that he's ok.
The star even tweeted a picture of him getting an haircut while in hospital. "Currently being transfered to a hospital in LA. Thank you all for all your love, prayers and concern. You know me... I will be a'ight," he tweeted.
