X Factor USA winner Melanie Amaro has said she would love to work with Mariah Carey and Ne-Yo on her debut album.

The champion, who has signed to LA Reid's Epic Records since the show's final on December 22, beat Josh Krajcik and Chris Rene to the $5 million prize.

During a stint at 106 & Park, she said: "There's lots of people I want to work with. There so many different artists I think have so much talent that I think would really complement me and my voice.

"I really, really want to do a song with Mariah, like, oh my God, she is like my idol. I also want to work with Ne-Yo, cause I hear he's a great song writer... There are a couple of other ones but I'll leave that for the album."

She also said she hasn't changed since her victory, adding: ""Right now I feel so blessed. The only thing that has changed about me is that my bank account has been blessed by God."

It has been hinted by Melanie's mentor Simon Cowell that Krajcik and Rene will also be given recording contracts, whilst controversial teenager Astro will feature on Cher Lloyd's new single 'Want U Back'.
