Sandra Bullock has revealed that she wasn't allowed to wear makeup in her new movie Gravity, and her co-star George Clooney also had to do without it.

Why should she be bothered, with her foxy looks and luscious locks? Well, the Oscar-winner has a right to be concerned as she admits that her face is going to be projected onto a 17-foot image on "digital film that shows everything".

The 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' actress has revealed that Clooney's concerns about being shot in 3D come from not being allowed makeup and having every detail of their faces displayed to the world.

In an interview with USA Today, Sandra discussed the new Alfonso Cuaron movie, and she said: "God help us all when my face comes rushing at you with no makeup on. I'm going to apologise now, but Alfonso, in a brilliant move, said, 'No makeup'.

"Our vain little heads are going to be some massive 17-foot image. You are going to see details because it's shot on this digital film that shows everything. It's so scary."

Sandra, who recently revealed that she nearly quit acting, also added: "There are scenes where you say, 'This is where you have to let go and let God [take over]'. And, thank God, there are no nude scenes."

The sci-fi film 'Gravity' will see Sandra play a medical engineer who finds herself attached to a veteran astronaut played by Clooney, and the pair are floating out into space and have no hope of rescue because their shuttle has been destroyed.

Gravity will open in cinemas on October 19.

We don't think Sandra should have much to worry about - she's gorgeous...
