The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be toasting the New Year in Scotland as they prepare to stay at Prince Charles's Birkall estate in Aberdeen.
The Royal couple celebrated Christmas with the Royal Family at the Queen's home of Sandringham and were seen attending a church service on Christmas day, the couple also took part in the traditional Boxing Day shoot and visited Prince Phillip in hospital after his recent surgery.
Kate and Wills are planning to have a quiet party, and will be joined by her parents Michael and Carole.
Princes Charles and his wife Camilla are also expected to attend. "They will stay for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day," a royal insider told Us Magazine. "Charles and Camilla will be flying there, too."
But while Carole and Michael have received their invites for New Year's eve, they won't be staying in the actual house.
The source said: "They are staying at Teapot Cottage or another cottage on the estate, not Birkhall itself."
