David Beckham and his wife Victoria were guests at her wedding, so it should be no surprise that the footballer was seen sharing a joke with the Duchess of Cambridge at The Sun Military Awards earlier this week.
Kate looked absolutely stunning in a £4,000 black velvet Alexander McQueen dress (a bit of a step up from her infamous Zara frock) and she was seen having a catch up with David, who was also at the event.
The Royal couple met up with David during a visit to California in July shortly after their wedding and the pair had a lot to laugh about.
According to The Sun, an eyewitness said: "There was a lot of laughing. They were obviously having a bit of banter which was nice to see."
Wills and David became good pals with their failed England bid to host the 2018 World Cup but Kate held her own without her hubby.
"He made his way to William and Kate's table," the source said. "and had a chat with Will before going over to his wife."
Meanwhile McFly's Dougie Poynter just admired from a distance, as he tweeted about seeing Kate.
"The royal babe was at the military awards last night, as is tradition. So so elegant, so lovely, so hot in the face," he wrote.
