Most people like to make an effort at Christmas but Hollywood stars seem willing to go that little bit further, with Sandra Bullock admitting that she breaks the law to make sure her Christmas is perfect.
It sounds like an interesting Christmas at the Bullock household, as the Oscar winner revealed to Jay Leno on The Tonight Show that each year she smuggles German sausages into the country for her traditional family meal.
According to People the 47-year-old said: "Since my mother passed, we break the law, because we have to manage to smuggle German sausages into the country, and apparently bringing meats across the waters is against the law."
The actress appeals to relatives overseas to send over the meaty-treats and she said despite being banded it wouldn't be Christmas without it.
The brunette actress added: "We just have to break the law a little bit, but eventually someone's package gets through. You fry 'em up with some sauerkraut and potato salad, but they have to be the right ones."
When pressed by the amused Leno, Sandra insisted that she kept the exact nature of the process under-wraps, telling the host: "I'm not at liberty to divulge how we smuggle the sausage."
Sandra recently revealed that she is looking forward to the festive season and spoiling her son Louis with lots of presents. We hope that she gets hold of her sausages this year!
We Love Sandra Bullock...
