Awkward! Wayne Rooney reminded boss Sir Alex Ferguson of the infamous time he kicked a boot at David Beckham... and was told, "That'll cost you".
The footballer made the gaffe during a team game of charades for Manchester United's own TV channel MUTV.
Given the film title 'Bend It Like Beckham', Rooney swept back imaginary hair, pointed at his manager, pretended to kick something, and then clasped his eye.
As the rest of his team looked on, baffled, Rooney laughed and repeated the actions.
Host Clare Balding laughed as Ryan Giggs correctly identified the film title, whilst Ferguson coldly declared: "That'll cost you".
Balding later posted on her Twitter feed: "Wayne Rooney told me he had never played Charades.
"And there was me thinking that Fergie throwing the boot at Beckham was the thing "never to be mentioned".
She added: "For the record, @WayneRooney was the star of the players' team. Very quick, very funny & along with Evans & Giggs, unbeatable."
Wayne recently admitted to getting a hair transplant.
