Leona Lewis has released a new EP, Hurt, following her performance on The X Factor final on Saturday.

The star confirmed at the end of last month that she had plans to treat fans to some new music before the end of the year.

The three-track collection includes covers of Nine Inch Nails' 'Hurt', Goo Goo Dolls' 'Iris' and Counting Crows' 'Colorblind'.

She said: "I have been enjoying my time in the studio with Fraser so much and we felt that this EP would be a nice treat for fans whilst they wait for us to finish the album."

Following the star's performance of the title track over the weekend, it is now No. 3 on iTunes behind Coldplay's 'Paradise' and Little Mix's 'Cannonball', both of which were also performed on the X Factor stage.

Lewis won the show in 2006 and has since gone on to score multi-platinum sales on both sides of the Atlantic.

Hurt is out now.
