Charlize Theron has admitted she hates rehearsing films and needs relies on alcohol to get through them.
The blonde actress, who plays an adult novelist in her new film 'Young Adult' revealed rehearsals were a big problem for her and she turned to drink as did director Jason Reitman.
She told Collider.com: "I don't like rehearsal and Jason doesn't like rehearsal either. I hate reads. I hate anything where you have to say the words out loud."
Her co-star in the film Patton Oswalt joked about their acting-aid and revealed it made the process easier for all of them. He said: We call it acting juice. We kind of got along right at the first table read. We were teasing each other, there was just something."
Charlize revealed that she found the part of Mavis, challenging and was intrigued by her character's attitude, she said: "The idea of a woman dealing with very common mid to late thirty issues that women can really relate to, is dealing with the in a sixteen year old would deal with them."I though that was really fascinating."
The 37-year-old would know better than most what is is like to be single in her late thirties. The actress split from long-term boyfriend Stuart Townsend after nine-years together in 2009.
