Ellie Goulding will perform for an audience including Barack Obama today, at the National Christmas Tree ceremony in Washington DC.
The songbird, who has recently been supporting Katy Perry on her latest North American tour dates, is joined on the bill by Black Eyed Peas, OneRepublic and The Muppets.
The ceremony takes place near the White House and will culminate with the US President lighting the festive tree.
The 'Lights' singer tweeted proudly of her travel arrangements en route to the US capital, saying:
"Not to brag but I have pulled some INCREDIBLE maneuvers on the escalators with my 4 cases at the station tonight"
Ellie's US career has been boosted thanks to performances on Saturday Night Live and at the American Music Awards. She originally rose to prominence in the UK by winning the Critics Choice Award at the 2010 Brits.
