An interesting side story emerged from yesterday Leveson Inquiry hearings, as Hugh Grant's appearance caused long, lingering looks from one of the barristers, leading to #thewomanontheleft trending on Twitter.
The woman in question, Carine Patry Hoskins, seemed to forget her professional obligations as the 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' star took to the witness box.
The Twitterati soon picked up on this, resulting in the hash tag #thewomanontheleft immediately trending.
MSN TV's Lorna Cooper wrote: "Bet she’s scribbled “Carine Patry Hoskins-Grant” on her notepad", while PhD student Guy Walters observed: "I strongly recommend she changes her voicemail Pin."
Grant's appearance caused a storm, as he accused the Mail on Sunday of hacking into his voicemail, the first non-Rupert Murdoch owned publication to be implicated in the hacking scandal.
