Susan Boyle has made chart history again with her third album Someone To Watch Over Me.
The singer, who also topped charts with I Dreamed A Dream in 2009 and The Gift in 2010, is now the first female artist to ever have three successive albums debut at No. 1 in less than two years.
She said: "This is fantastic news! I am delighted, excited and overwhelmed. I want to say a very big thank you to all those who helped make this possible.
"I never thought anything like this would happen when I started back in 2009. One thing is for sure - I'll be cracking open the champagne tonight and celebrating. This is just wonderful. Wow!"
Simon Cowell added: "I'm absolutely delighted for Susan. She's a total superstar and I'm incredibly proud of her."
This is just the latest in a growing list of records smashed by Boyle, whose debut LP broke pre-order sales records on Amazon and went on to sell over 10 million copies globally. Follow-up The Gift made her the only solo artist in history to be simultaneously top of both the UK and US album charts twice in less than a year.
Elsewhere in this week's album chart, Cher Lloyd enters at No. 4 with Sticks + Stones, whilst The Wanted come in at No. 5 with their second record Battleground.
Last week's chart-topper from Florence + The Machine slips to No. 3, whilst Michael Buble's festive album ascends to No. 2.
Susan Boyle recently made up with a few member of her family, who are now "calm and supportive" of her success.
