With only a few days to go before I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here returns to our screens, the line-up of celebrities going into the Australian outback has been revealed!
Joining the various bugs, snakes, rats and other creepy crawlies will be:
Mark Wright: It's true! The Only Way Is Essex star has left Essex for Australia. Speaking about starting his journey post TOWIE, the reality star said: "I feel I have gone as far as I can in TOWIE for the time being. It’s been an amazing platform for me and I have loved every moment of it. I will miss everyone and the whole experience but when I was asked if I wanted to do the jungle, I really wanted to take the opportunity. I am really excited about doing it. It’s a great new challenge for me and I hope people will see me other than just the guy off TOWIE.”
Antony Cotton: Known for playing lovable character Sean Tully on Coronation Street, Antony is looking forward to going into the jungle, saying: “Doing this show is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am hoping it will make me face up to my fears.”
Freddie Star: The comic has decided not to beat around the bush and has therefore admitted that he is only doing the show to raise his profile again, saying: “I am not going to lie. I am doing this to raise my profile. I want to get my profile up and anyone who says anything different is lying. But I also like the TV programme. I am a fan of the jungle and I always watch the show without fail."
Dougie Poynter: This McFly band member is so excited about sleeping alongside the bugs and creatures, saying: "I would pay to do something like this if I wasn’t doing it for TV. I am so excited. I am really into nature and Sir David Attenborough is a god to me. He would be my ideal person to go in the jungle if I could choose somebody."
Crissy Rock: The actress is excited to be going into the jungle, so much that it's like winning an Oscar! She said: “I am a big fan of the show. For me landing a place in the jungle is like the Oscars. I feel like I have already won by getting in. Anything else is a bonus.
Stephanie Powers: The actress is looking forward to the experience, saying: “I am not really thinking about the jungle in what I am most looking forward to. This is an experience I am not in control of and you just have to make do with the best you can…”
Lorraine Chase: The Emmerdale actress feels as though I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here is a blessing saying: "When I got the call, it felt like a blessing. I had been toying with the idea of a boot camp and this seemed a very fortuitous thing to be offered it. It’s not something I would normally do and I think people in the business will be shocked when they see that I am. I am really excited about the challenges ahead.”
Willie Carson OBE: The five times British champion jockey has revealed he's doing the show for his grandchildren, saying: "The grandchildren are massive fans. The street cred is going to get lifted when they find out I am doing this! I know they will be excited. I have watched the show in the past, but not religiously. I am determined to really enjoy my experience in the jungle.”
Jessica Jane Clement: Speaking about her excitement of going into the jungle, the former glamour model said: "For a while it didn’t really sink in and I kept having nightmares about spiders as I have a phobia about them, but just before I flew out to Australia, I got really excited. It’s going to be such an amazing experience and I really want to prove to myself I can do it.”
Fatima Whitbread MBE: Leaving her son to be in the jungle, the former javelin world champion said: "I hope the jungle experience will enable me to learn how to let go of my son. He is growing up and there will come a time when he goes off to university and he won’t want to come home again!"
