Coldplay's Chris Martin has opened up about his love life before he married one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, Gwyneth Paltrow, and the musician revealed that he was "not doing so well".
The 'Fix You' singer was talking on The Ellen DeGeneres Show with the band, who are promoting their latest album Mylo Xoloto, and when asked about his relationship with his wife, Martin joked: "She's been a great beard for me."

The 34-year-old was then asked by a witty Ellen: "It's not really a real relationship? She just pretends that she's your wife?"
Martin, who has been married to Paltrow since 2003, then laughed: "Yeah, it's hard to believe." Ellen's show, which airs today (October 27), then sees Martin explain his pulling skills before meeting the Oscar-winning actress.
"I think a lot of people like me and Jonny [Buckland] join bands because we were really not doing so well," he explained.
Ellen asked: "With women?"
"With anyone!" Martin laughed.
