Justin Timberlake has revealed he suffered a serious injury when he was filming a scene for his new film In Time.
The actor, who plays lead role Will Salas in the film, admitted he injured his calf during a fighting scene and was forced to 'hobble' throughout some of the shoot.
During an interview with USA Today, Timberlake said: "It felt like someone shot me in the leg. It looks like in the scene I'm hobbling because I'm pulling a hostage, but it's because I'm on one leg."
"When they yelled 'cut' I actually fell down. But we got a great take out of it."
Set up in a near future where nobody lives past the age of 25 and people have to 'buy time' in order to stay alive for more than a year, In Time concentrates on a world where time has become a commodity, allowing the rich to live longer while the poor die prematurely.
Timberlake who plays a man on the run after being accused of stealing time, also praised his character because of his 'street-smart' attitude.
"This action hero thing, I don't know if I'm buying it. This is not John Rambo. My character has his back against the wall, and he's street-smart. But there were a lot of boyhood fantasies here," he added.
Also starring Amanda Siefried and Olivia Wilde, In Time wil be released November 1.
