Batman Returns star Michelle Pfeiffer has said she is expecting Anne Hathaway's portrayal of Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises to be amazing.
The actress, who also portrayed the iconic character in Tim Burton's 1992 Batman Returns, praised her Selina Kyle successor and admitted Hathaway was 'great' for the role.
During an interview with Hollywood Life, Pfeiffer said: "I think Anne is going to be amazing. She has the darkness and the comedy - she's got it all. She's going to be great."
Directed by Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight Rises will be the third and last instalment of the Batman franchise. The film will see Christian Bale reprise his role as Batman whilst Tom hardy will be portraying villain Bane.
Other cast members will include Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman, Gary Oldman, Marion Cotillard, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt.
The Dark Knight Rises will be released July 20, 2012.
