It's finally here, the official trailer for Joss Whedon's The Avengers has finally been released online and it isn't just a teaser.
Bringing back all of Marvel's iconic superheroes, The Avengers sees Robert Downey, Jr. reprise his role as Iron Man, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, and Chris Evans as Captain America.
When an unexpected enemy resurfaces, and starts threaten global safety and security, Nick Fury, the director of the international peacekeeping agency S.H.I.E.L.D, has no choice but to call in a group of superheroes to help him save the world.
Also starring in the ensemble movie are Samuel L. Jackson as S.H.I.E.L.D agent Nick Fury and Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff, or The Black Widow, the only female member of the team.
The Avengers will be released May 4, 2012.
