The widow of Richard Burton, Sally Burton has revealed she has had enough of talking about her husband's relationship with Elizabeth Taylor.
The 61-year-old, who married the actor in 1983, admitted she did not want to hear about her late husband's on-off relationship with his Cleopatra co-star Elizabeth Taylor.
She told The Daily Mail: "I get p****d off with all the talk of the great love story," she said. "Yes, they were in love but they divorced twice. That means their marriage didn't work."
Mrs Burton, who had always refused to comment on her husband's stormy relationship with the star, broke her silence after Martin Scorsese confirmed he was preparing to direct a film about the relationship of the two actors, based on the 2009 biography Furious Love.
The widow also admitted she still found it hard to talk about her late husband, who died in 1984.
She added: "You may think it might get easier over time but it doesn't."
"When you marry someone older than you it's almost taken for granted that one day you might lose them. But I did not not expect to lose him when I was still in my 30s and he was only in his 50s."
The Oscar-winning actress, who rose to fame after starring in National Velvet un 1944, died last March aged 79.
