Gossip Girl's Penn Badgley Joins Occupy Wall Street Protest

Gossip Girl actor Penn Badgley is supporting the Occupy Wall Street protests in New York.

The actor confesses that he's using his celebrity status to help give some more exposure to the cause.

Badgley, who previously dated his co-star Blake Lively, was at several speeches in the city earlier this week where the demonstrators were gathered.

Talking about the growing protest movement, he told Capital NY: "I mean, listen, it's cheesy. But I want to do whatever I can. Let's be honest: I'm on f**king Gossip Girl... It's absurd that celebrity power is what it is, but, like, use any tool you have, you know?"

The actor is the latest celebrity to have appeared at the Occupy Wall Street protests that began a few weeks ago.
