Brad Pitt has reportedly made a "tearful" apology to ex-wife Jennifer Aniston after he branded her "dull" in a recent interview.
Despite issuing an official statement insisting that his comments had been misconstrued, the actor went that extra mile and reportedly called Jen to apologise personally.
Of Jen and Brad's conversation, a source revealed to Grazia: "They made a pact when they split to never talk about the marriage, so he couldn’t believe that he’d done it. Was it devastating? Of course.
“And then Brad started calling repeatedly… She eventually picked up once she’d calmed down and managed to stay calm throughout the call. Brad told her how sorry he was… He also said how bad he felt that it had come when her mother was so sick, and he started to get tearful at this point, which come as a bit of a shock to Jen.”
Although she's still furious with Brad for saying what he did, the source has revealed that Jen has forgiven Brad.
They added: "In the end, Jennifer was graceful with Brad and thanked him for his apology but told him that if he ever did this again she’d cut off all contact."
