After dating less than a year, Shane Warne is ready to ask Liz Hurley to marry him.
The former Australian cricketer, who was first romantically linked to Hurley last year before the end of her four-year marriage to Arun Nayar was finalised, is set to propose before Christmas.
A source close to the 42-year-old told The Mirror: "Liz and Shane have a really happy, fun and secure relationship. They are forever giggling. Shane absolutely adores her and is keen to make their relationship official."
The insider also added that they know that the new Gossip Girl actress isn't keen to get hitched in a hurry again, they said: "He plans on proposing before Christmas, with the couple having a low-key wedding late next year. Shane is romantic and a traditionalist, and will definitely get down on bended knee to do the deed. Liz is in no hurry to walk down the aisle again, though, after only divorcing her ex in the summer."
It was only last month that the couple was rumoured to be engaged, but the cricketer denied the reports and said that although he was "in love" with the actress and model, he will be the first person to let people know if they have an "announcement" to make.
