London Brit School that spawned the talent of superstars Adele, Jessie J and Leona Lewis is looking into the possibility of opening a new school but in the North of England.
The talent academy, which is the only free performing arts and technology school in Britain, helped nurture the talents of the superstars in South London and its alumni which also The Kooks, Katie Melua, Kate Nash and The Feeling has now sold over 65 million albums worldwide.
A new Brit school could be ready in 2013 to help 14-19-year-olds who love performing arts and the technology behind it.
Talking about her time at the school, Adele told The Sun: "I hate to think where I'd have ended up if I hadn't gone to the Brit School.
"It's inspiring to be around 700 kids who want to be something, rather than 700 who just want to get pregnant so they get their own flat.
"I remember wanting to go to Sylvia Young Theatre School because Baby Spice went there but my mum couldn't afford it.
"But I loved the Brit School. It was a bit like Fame sometimes — you got people doing their ballet stretches and singers having sing-offs."
While Leona Lewis added: "My time there was invaluable. Being in a creative environment all day fuelled my passion to have a creative career."
London's Brit School is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary.
