Oscar-winning actress Helen Miren has described her single fight in The Debt to a 'geriatric fight'.
Portraying the older version of Rachel Singers in the film, the actress revealed she had it easy compared to her co-star Chastain. Because she played the older version of the charcter, Dame Helen Miren admitted not having to take any self defence classes for her fighting scene.
"I didn’t take any self defence classes," she told Entertainmentwise. "I do have a fight in the film but we call it the geriatric fight, between a 60-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man, and it’s really hard to get up once you’re down."
The actress, who has been promoting her new film The Debt, also spoke her role as Mossad Agent Rachel Singer.
When asked what attracted her to the part, Mirren explained: “The Debt is a really interesting story and it was a lovely role, and then there’s John Madden who I’ve worked with before on Prime Suspect. He is a great director so that’s a combination you don’t say no to.”
The actress recently revealed her 2008 Bikini still haunted her to this day: "The thing that will haunt me for the rest of my life is that bloody photograph of myself in a bikini. I don’t actually look like that and I know that will haunt me forever. I will be forever trying to bury it uncessfully."
The Debt will be released September 30.
