English rose Kate Winslet paid a teary-eyed tribute to her mother has she accepted her first Emmy award on Sunday night.
The Titanic star picked up the trophy for her title role in Depression-era drama Mildred Pierce.
In her moving speech she said: "Mildred Pierce was capable of great acts of love as a mother... It doesn’t matter how old you are or what you do with your life, you will never stop needing your mum.
"And I will never stop needing mine, so thanks mum."
The actress punched the air and jumped up and down when she was announced as the winner of Outstanding Lead Actress In A Miniseries Or A Movie.
