Brad Pitt has felt the need to defend himself after his recent in Parade magazine gave a stinging reflection of his marriage to Jennifer Aniston.
The Moneyball actor had said that his life was "pathetic" during the 90s and compared it to his life now, referring to his family life with Angelina Jolie and their brood where he feels "satisfied".
Brad, 47, released a statement explaining his comments, which looked as if he was being very critical of Jennifer.
"It grieves me the way this was interpreted. Jen is an incredibly giving, loving and hilarious woman who remains my friend," he said. "It is an important relationship I value greatly. The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself – and that, I am responsible for."
In the Parade interview, Brad said: "I wasn't living an interesting life." "I think my marriage had something to do with it," he said. "Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't."
