Brad Pitt has been throwing daggers, and these seem to be flying in the direction of his ex-wife Jennifer Aniston as he labels his previous marriage and life "pathetic" in a stinging account.
As the Friends actress famously said that she thought that the actor was lacking a "sensitivity chip" after their divorce, it's clear that it still stands as Brad gives a tell-all account in the upcoming issue of Parade magazine.
The Moneyball actor also praises his partner Angelina Jolie and claims that making her the mother of his children was one of the "greatest, smartest things" that he's ever done.
"I spent the '90s trying to hide out, trying to duck the full celebrity cacophony," he explained. "I started to get sick of myself sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out. It started feeling pathetic."
"It became very clear to me that I was intent on trying to find a movie about an interesting life, but I wasn't living an interesting life myself."
The 47-year-old also added: "I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn't."
Aniston and Pitt married in 2000 in Malibu in a private ceremony but divorced five years later shortly after he filmed Mr and Mrs Smith wiht Jolie.
The Hollywood couple now have six children together, three of which are adopted from around the world.
Brad also added: "One of the greatest, smartest things I ever did was give my kids Angie as their mom. She is such a great mom. Oh, man, I’m so happy to have her."
During the interview, Brad gushed about his family life with Angelina and put to bed any rumours that circulate about their relationship.
"I put much more emphasis on being a satisfied man. I’m satisfied with making true choices and finding the woman I love, Angie, and building a family that I love so much.
"A family is a risky venture, because the greater the love, the greater the loss. That’s the trade-off. But I’ll take it all."
Do you think honesty is the best policy? Or are you Team Jennifer?
