Whitney Houston is reportedly considering a movie comeback and is currently in talks to join the cast of the Sparkle remake.
The diva could be joining Jordin Sparks and Mike Epps in a remake of the 1976 music drama, The Hollywood Reporter.
Directed by Jumping the Broom's Salim Akil, the Supremes biopic film will see Sparks making her movie debut as she leads the cast in the film by playing Sparkle Williams who begins her singing career with her sister in the local school choir.
It is rumoured that Whitney Houston is in talks to portray Sparkle's less than encouraging mother who resents the talent of her daughters, whilst Faster actor Mike Epps will be playing Satin, the comedia who marries on of the sisters.
The singer was already attached to the project 10 years ago when singer Aaliyah was cast as the lead role, however the project was cancelled after the star died in a plane crash in August 2001.
A release date for Sparkle has not yet been confirmed.
